WIZwireless is honoured to support charity, community and sports organisations within the Wairarapa. This involves sponsored broadband, direct contributions or setting up equipment.
Pae tū Mōkai o Tauira
We’re proud to be supporting Pae tū Mōkai o Tauira in their mahi to restore Wairarapa Moana. A wireless link between the main building and He Kōtare Nursery installed this afternoon will improve connectivity, efficiency, and quality of life for their dedicated team.

WIZwireless very kindly sponsor our internet connection which we very much appreciate.
Without an internet connection we would not be able to operate as it is our main means of communication with our Riders, their Caregivers and/or Parents and of course our wonderful Volunteers.
Tinui flooding during Cyclone Gabrielle
When Tinui was seriously flooded during Cyclone Gabrielle, WIZwireless realised there was no way of communication for the many people visiting the Emergency Hub in Tinui War Memorial Hall. And no mobile coverage. Excellent quality rural wireless broadband had previously been donated and installed by WIZwireless in Tinui Hall so the annual Tinui Anzac Day service could be livestreamed.
After the flood, WIZwireless built upon this broadband, strengthening the WIFI and making it available without password to anyone in the vicinity of the hall. This was such a valuable and appreciated service when we were knee deep in silt and the aftermath of the flood. WIFI at the hall allowed agencies such as Social Welfare to meet with individuals and process requests for assistance on the spot.
Using WIFI mobile, arrangements were able to be made with farmer assistance organisations and to get Tinui School up and running in the hall. Those whose homes had been inundated by silt and floodwater had somewhere to check their email and communicate with family and insurance companies, while they enjoyed a cup of tea in the hall.
At the same time WIZwireless technical staff were travelling up and down highly damaged rural roads making sure any issues with waterlogged modems, etc, in homes and farms was speedily fixed so we could all communicate. As a community we are indebted to WIZwireless for being there for us in one of the most difficult times in our district.
